PGD in Agribusiness (PGDAB)

Subsistence farming is giving way to commercial agriculture. Due to changes in the corporate environment, the socioeconomic landscape of the nation, and the global environment, new opportunities are emerging in the agriculture sector. The industry is actively meeting consumer and market expectations for a diverse range of high-quality, reasonably priced products. With the government's influence waning, the growth of competitive, high-quality agriculture has taken centre stage in the agricultural economy. The skills and knowledge of the human resources in charge of tying agricultural production and consumption to the equilibrium between the economy and the environment are in high demand. The PG Diploma in Agribusiness (PGDAB) programme is being developed by the School of Agriculture with this in mind. Graduates in agriculture and related fields, professionals working in agricultural extension and development, NGOs, cooperatives, and corporate, financial, and marketing organizations/institutions are the program's target audience.
