PGD in Environmental and Occupational Health (PGDEOH)

Assessment of the dangers to public health posed by biological, chemical, physical, biomechanical, and psychosocial hazards in built and natural environments is the main goal of environmental and occupational health. Environmental health professionals concentrate on how pollution in the environment affects people's health. Health in people reflects their socioeconomic and physical surroundings. The primary connection between the workplace and the wider environment is that hazards are typically generated by the same sources, whether they are industrial or agricultural. By offering solutions to various aspects of environmental health occupational hazard management, epidemiology, health policy and management, and environmental health promotion, the programme aims at various concepts related to general environment, the environment at the workplace, related hazards, and evaluation of health risk assessment. The successful learners will have the skills necessary to collaborate with medical professionals, researchers, and decision-makers to create, assess, and keep track of health policies, programmes, and procedures pertaining to healthy settings.
